This is me
About the path to wholeness, balance and self-knowledge.
My name is Ann Svärdfelt and I have worked with yoga and holistic health for over 20 years. Even as a child, I experienced the fragility of life – and at the same time discovered the power of healing from within. Through my own experiences of pain, awakening and deep presence, I have understood that true health is about taking care of more than just the body.
It is about the interplay between heart, soul and energy. Today, I use my insights, my intuition and my life experience to guide others to balance, meaning and inner peace – so that more people can live in contact with their true nature.

My history
About the path to wholeness, balance and self-knowledge.
When I was eleven years old, I broke my leg badly, and in that vulnerability something was awakened within me. I began to pray – first for healing, but soon also for others. In those moments, I experienced a deep connection with all living things and a strong certainty that we are never alone.
Three years later, I survived a serious bicycle accident. In connection with that experience, a feeling emerged that my life has meaning. I did not understand why at the time, but that insight has deepened over the years and has become an important part of my path.
I grew up in a family where feelings were not always given space. In my longing to be listened to, I learned to adapt. Only when I dared to stand in my truth and embrace my sensitivity did I understand that it was my greatest strength. That is where my true freedom began – and the path to the work I do today.

Ashtanga yoga
I discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2004 and immediately felt that it was a path I wanted to delve into. It led me to Mysore, India, where I studied with Sharath Jois for many years. The stays there became an important part of both my life and my family's, and my relationship with yoga deepened on a very personal level.
In 2011, I received my authorization from Sharath Jois. To this day, practice and learning continue to go hand in hand. What I gained from my years in Mysore lives on in my teaching – my body remembers and the method continues to speak through me.
Ashtanga Yoga has become a stable foundation in my life. In practice, I feel like a tree – rooted in presence and with roots that give strength even when life blows. Sharath used to say:
“Why do we do yoga? To become stable in our minds."
"When we find that stability within ourselves, it also becomes easier to face the world with love"
My work and my path
I love teaching Ashtanga yoga.
For fourteen years I ran my own yoga studio, and today I teach retreats, workshops and online, which allows me to meet people from different parts of the world.
In addition to yoga, I work with Ayurvedic health consultations and have for many years immersed myself in energy sciences such as healing, astrology, numerology and tarot. I use this knowledge in courses, guidance and consultations.
My journey changed profoundly when I became a mother. My children have been with me throughout this entire path and are also my greatest teachers. We have lived a life filled with travel, moving and encounters with different cultures, which has sometimes been challenging but also created strong family bonds and a deep understanding of each other.
I am incredibly grateful to be their mother – and for their father who shared life in Mysore with me during the first years, where we ran a café together so that I could study yoga. It is a journey I will always carry with me.
