Mentorship in Yoga

For those who want to develop – both in your own practice and as a yoga teacher. 

Do you teach yoga and feel like you would like more support, inspiration or feedback in your work? Or do you long to deepen your own practice and get new motivation on your yoga path? 

Mentorship is for those of you who want to continue to develop - both in your own practice and in how you meet and guide your students. 

Perhaps you have completed a yoga teacher training course but lack someone to discuss issues with. 

Perhaps you feel that your own practice has stagnated. 
Or you sometimes find yourself in front of students and feel unsure of how best to help them further. 

It is completely natural. Your own practice and teaching yoga go hand in hand, and sometimes we all need support and new perspectives.

What this mentorship can give you

An internship without requirements and performance.

Through the mentorship, you will have the opportunity to develop together with me as a teacher, with extensive experience in both your own practice and teaching. 
We work together with, for example: 

  • your own yoga practice 

  • teaching and pedagogy 

  • how you meet different types of students 

  • inspiration and further development 

  • questions about philosophy and practice 

The mentorship is adapted to where you are right now.

Breathing is central to Ashtanga Yoga.
Each movement is linked to either an inhalation or an exhalation, creating a natural flow and helping us release tension.

Ashtanga yoga

One method that fits everyone.

Many people believe that Ashtanga Yoga requires something special, but fundamentally it is a method for everyone. When taught by a teacher who has made a deep journey through the practice, each student can meet where they are. 

It is this experience that you get to share in the mentorship. 
You don't have to be agile or strong - all that is required is a willingness to meet yourself through a method that supports both physical and inner health. 

Yoga as a philosophy 

A path to balance.

Ashtanga yoga is more than physical postures. It is a philosophy of life that offers powerful tools for personal development. Through movement, breath and presence, we develop strength, flexibility and mental clarity while deepening our connection with our life energy. 

The word Ashtanga means eight parts (astau = eight, anga = parts). Five of these we can actively practice through practice, breathing, presence, study and self-reflection. The last three represent deeper states of awareness that can arise when the first steps are integrated into life.

Mentoring program

For those of you who teach and want to continue growing in your role. 

For whom?

The program is suitable for those who teach and want a mentor to discuss questions with, deepen your leadership and continue to develop through the meeting with your students. You will receive support, advice and inspiration – both in your pedagogical work and in your own personal development. 

 

Structure

The mentorship runs monthly and you choose one month at a time. When you book, you indicate whether you want to start a new month. The notice period is one month.  ​

 

Content

During each month, you will have access to continuous guidance with a focus on both your students' needs and your own practice. 

This includes: 

-  An introductory conversation the first wee 

- Three subsequent conversations – one per week

- Length of conversation: 45–75 minutes

- Review and feedback on two recorded classes

- Discussion on inspirational texts, philosophy and energy systems

- Opportunity for feedback on your own practice

 

The mentorship is shaped around you and what you need at the moment.  After completing the program, regardless of length, it is evaluated and further developed based on experiences and needs. You have a great opportunity to influence your program and request support in what you want.
