ASYA Consulting

A bridge between worlds

Yoga pose

The name ASYA came to me in a dream almost three years ago. When I later delved into its origins, I found that it carries a strong and timeless symbolism. In Greek mythology, ASYA represents the dawn, the east and the new light – a primordial force for expansion, transition and the meeting of worlds. ASYA can be seen as a portal to the new.

The name has its roots in Asía – the mythical gate that in ancient Greece marked the boundary between the known and the yet unborn. A place of transition, beginning and creation. A bridge between the wisdom of the past and the path of the future. A place where horizons broaden and something new can take shape.

In Greek mythology, ASYA is a divine force, born from the depths of the sea, bearer of the dawn. In other stories, she is the mother of Atlas and Prometheus. Atlas symbolizes responsibility, endurance, consciousness and human development, and Prometheus who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humans. He believed in the power of civilization, knowledge, enlightenment and our ability to create.

Atlas carries the weight of the world and Prometheus carries the light to humanity.

Even in the Roman Empire, ASYA was a hub for trade, learning and culture – a bridge between perspectives and times.

ASYA is also an abbreviation of my name as well as Yoga and Ayurveda. So it's A for Ann and S for Svärdfelt, Y for Yoga and A for Ayurveda.

When I also googled the meaning of the name, this felt so right. I added Consulting as advice, guidance or coaching is the common factor in all the services I offer.

The old and the new meet. Body and soul, wisdom traditions and modern awareness. Mythology is mysterious and speaks to the soul. It is a language for life choices, relationships and direction.

The logo

The logo symbol is a pine cone – at the same time a stylized image of the pineal gland, which is associated with light, awareness and the intelligence of the soul. The pineal gland is energetically connected to the forehead chakra (Ajna), also known as the third eye.
Around the Mediterranean, especially in Sicily where I have held retreats for many years, the pine cone carries a deep symbolism and stands for:

🌱 the seed of life and creative power

♾️ immortality and continuity of the soul

👁️ inner awakening and hidden wisdom

🛡️ protection, happiness and blessing

It is an ancient symbol with roots in ancient Greek and Roman mysticism – older than Christianity.
The logo was created by Sarah Mörk Petersen.
